To provide three months of work studio space for a visual artist in an inspiring artistic community at Jasper Studios. Originally owned by the Lomax family in the late 1800s, Jasper Studios, is 80,000 sq. ft. broken down into 50 artists studios/business offices with tenants including local artists and entrepreneurs.

To provide inspiring artistic space to create a body of work.

Artists will receive a work studio space plus utilities in the up and coming neighborhood of Kensington in Philadelphia, PA in our newly renovated building Jasper Studios. The building has been restored and carefully renovated into 50 artist studios/business offices. The studios that will be provided for the residency will be between 300-500 sq. ft. with high ceilings and two large windows that provide plenty of natural light. The chosen artist will have 24 hour access to their studio and amenities, INCLUDING 2 kitchenettes, wifi & high speed internet, secure car/bike lot, elevator access, and a coffee shop. Jasper Studios is conveniently located a short 5 min walk to the Market-Frankford line which makes all neighborhoods of Philadelphia highly accessible.


Jenna Howell

Jenna Howell recently graduated from the University of the Arts with a Bachelors of Fine Arts with a concentration in painting and materials studies.  She currently creates and resides in Philadelphia  however, Howell is originally from Newark, NY in the Finger Lakes region.  Howell has shown both locally in Philadelphia including a solo senior exhibition show as well as internationally in a three person show in Florence, Italy.

Stephen D’onofrio

Stephen D’Onofrio is a contemporary visual artist, focused in painting. Stephen’s work is characterized by an interest in the home decor market, the mass commodification of art, and the generic visual language that accompanies commercial design. Stephen received his MFA from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago in 2016, and will continue to paint in his south side studio and show his work nationwide.
